Roadrunner Cafe 5k Beach Bash

Road Runner Cafe Beach Bash 5K/1K is March 23, 2013.  There are two categories:  shoed and barefoot.  The race start is at Buena Vista Public Beach Park.  The course for the 5K will follow the beach to the turn arround at the Costa Brava road entrance to the beach.  Proceeds go to help students pay for high school education.  There are many age group divisions, many prizes.  If you register by Feb. 15th. you are guaranteed a T-shirt.  Pre register at Road Runner Cafe.    We encourage children 12 & under to run in the beach 1K.  Entry fee for 5K: 100 pesos for 1K 20 pesos.  Join me in our first informal training run  at Costa Brava Road beach entrance on Thurs. Open Mic Tonight!!!

Tonight is Open Mic at the Roadrunner Cafe! We won't have car hops on roller skates but we will have some great live music, good food and drink and a SWELL time!!

Roadrunner at the Farmer's Market

The Farmer's Market is alive and well and growing. This Saturday we brought the "Roadrunner String Band" with us and enjoyed some authentic old time fiddle music. The band is actually 3 friends who have played a long time together: Michael 'Wolf' Cartusciello who lives in Cabo san Lucas, Jerry Hagins and Sharon Sandomirsky both from Austin Texas. Sharon was active in the old time music revival in the late 60's and on.

Open Mic Madness!!

Wow, the open mic last Wednesday was amazingly good!! We had fantastic musicians from here in Los Barriles and as far away as Austin Texas (via Cabo) and la Ventana. There was classical piano, country as well as western, Italian accordion, folk, old timey, loud and rowdy. AND a surprise visit from Lucy with her favorite piano player Sisco! If you weren't one of the over 240 people who came and saw it live,you can see each performance on YouTube.

Tonight we will have a concert at the Roadrunner featuring Michael and his friends from Austin Texas. The dance floor will be open as well. Hamburgers with salad and soup will be served starting at 6.  The music will start at 7. No cover charge.

Roadrunner Cafe at the Public Market

Roadrunner Cafe and Bakery will be at the Saturday Market. We will have fresh baked sourdough,whole wheat and raisin bread and ciabatta rolls. We also will have our fresh roasted Veracruz coffee.
