Brunch with Marcie Castro
Thanks to all who came to see Marcie today. Your appreciation was noted. She will definitely return. Special thanks to Mayte and our staff who went overboard for our first buffet style brunch. It was fantastic! There was only one glitch: the idiot in charge of video managed to get almost nothing. I won't mention any names but his initials are Bob Farmer! Here's one of her songs and I'll post another clip of all of us enjoying the music.

Hey open mic people! I just got this great article from Marcie who is coming next Sunday to the Roadrunner. If you are wanting to play more and improve your skills, this has some great tips for you.

For the purposes of this article, I’m thinking of an open mic as a performance event where each person is given time to play 1-3 songs, usually maxed out at 10-15 minutes. Sometimes the list of performers is settled in advance by an MC or booker, while sometimes it’s open to the public and you’re encouraged to put your name on a list– first come, first served.

Marcie Castro Again
Here is another nice example of Marie's piano along with Robert Drake on guitar. Marcie will be here on the 17th. Check the previous post. If you have native Spanish speaking friends, bring them. Her repertoire includes many traditional, beautiful Mexican songs. For more music by Marcie, check her YouTube Channel:
G20 Summit Special at the Roadrunner Cafe in Los Barriles!!!!
Want to get away from town for a nice morning of brunch and beautiful piano music? Sunday the 17th, recording artist, pianist and vocalist Marci Castro all the way from New York City via San Jose del Cabo will be performing. You will not want to miss her.
For breakfast we will be serving a delicious Sunday buffet with all the good stuff. Plus for our Sunday special, every customer will receive a free Mamosa or substitute beverage. Marci will begin at 10AM.
No Cover Charge! This will probably be the last music event we present for the season. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

Last Open Mic for the Summer
Farewell to open mic for the season. It was a great last evening. Mayte made the most delicious red pepper soup and ceviche salad for dinner. The music was excellent. Big Mike Phillips, Aussie/Yankee Mark McCord, Rio Vaughan, Ray on bass, Jennetti Spaghetti, Happy, Kay and of course Giles on sound. Thanks to all who came.
We will be hosting brunch on Sunday the 17th and featuring Marci Castro from San Jose on piano and vocals. I'll send out the full announcement with menu and special later. This will most likely be our last music event of the year.
Here's Mark's arrangement of "House of the Rising Sun" with Rio singing, Mark and myself on guitars.
Enjoy.
